Riviera Travel Opens 2028 River Cruise Bookings

The Radiance-class Riviera Rhapsody will carry one hundred seventy-eight passengers in eighty-nine cabins across four decks, with a crew of forty-four.

Riviera Travel River Cruises has opened bookings for 2028 departures across nine European and Asian waterways, with four itineraries featuring a new private-event program priced from $2,649 per person. The schedule also includes the April 2028 debut of Riviera Rhapsody on the Dutch Waterways and Rhine River.

The four itineraries, which Riviera identifies as best sellers, will include private venue access, receptions and concerts. The company has grouped those additions under “The Riviera Moment” collection.

Sales cover sailings on the Danube, Douro, Rhine, Moselle, Main, Rhône, Seine, Dutch and Mekong waterways. Riviera Rhapsody will carry 178 passengers in 89 cabins across four decks, with a crew of 44. The Radiance-class vessel is listed at 135 meters long and 12 meters wide.

“These events open doors to remarkable venues and experiences reserved solely for our guests, creating memories that will stay with them long after they return home,” said Stuart Milan, president of North America for Riviera Travel River Cruises.

Private events added to four itineraries

The earliest departures in the collection begin in March 2028 on the “Burgundy, the River Rhône and Provence River Cruise,” priced from $2,949 per person. Guests will attend a gathering at a private villa among the vineyards of Tain-l’Hermitage, including a Saint-Péray reception, a tasting of Rhône wines and a live musical performance.

From April, “The Blue Danube River Cruise” will include private access to the House of Strauss in Vienna. The evening program comprises welcome drinks, a classical concert in Strauss Hall and time in the Strauss Museum. Fares for departures carrying the experience start at $2,649 per person.

Also beginning in April, guests on “The Seine, Paris and Normandy River Cruise” will receive private access to the Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny. The visit includes the museum and gardens, followed by drinks and local canapés. Prices start at $3,149 per person.

The “Rhine Cruise to Switzerland” will add its new event from May 2028, with fares beginning at $3,349 per person. At Kloster Eberbach in Germany, guests are scheduled to attend a sparkling-wine reception, a private abbey tour, a tasting of regional wines and a concert in the Romanesque Basilica.
