Queen Anne Departs Southampton on 19-Night Mediterranean Cruise
Queen Anne’s 2027 circumnavigation will include Cunard’s return to Santos after 30 years, with an overnight in Rio de Janeiro timed to coincide with Rio Carnival.
Cunard’s Queen Anne departed Southampton on September 20, 2026, for a 19-night cruise to the Mediterranean and Greek Islands. The itinerary covers eight destinations in Southern Europe, with bookings also offered for shorter segments of the voyage.
The sailing forms part of the newest Cunard ship’s Southampton-based program, which continues through the end of the year. Subsequent departures will range from four to 14 nights, covering Northern Europe, Scandinavia and the Canary Islands.
The current itinerary includes five Greek ports: Santorini, Mykonos, Heraklion, Katakolon and Piraeus. Calls are also scheduled at Cadiz in Spain and Cagliari in Italy, followed by a visit to Gibraltar before the ship returns to Southampton.
Built at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard in Italy, Queen Anne entered service in May 2024. The approximately 113,000-gross-ton vessel accommodates about 3,000 passengers and carries around 1,225 crew members.
South America voyage scheduled for 2027
In 2027, Queen Anne will make its first voyage to South America, a circumnavigation of the continent sailing roundtrip from Southampton. The itinerary also extends to destinations in North America, the Caribbean and the Atlantic.
Cunard has scheduled 15 maiden calls across South America, with visits to Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Peru. Overnight stays include Buenos Aires and San Antonio, along with destinations in Peru and Panama.
A call at Santos will bring Cunard back to the Brazilian port after a 30-year absence, providing access to Sao Paulo. The itinerary also includes two visits each to Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral in Florida.
Beyond South America, the voyage includes Queen Anne’s first calls at Casablanca in Morocco and Bridgetown in Barbados, as well as a visit to the Turks and Caicos Islands. Cunard is also offering shorter sectors within its 2027 World Voyage program, ranging from a few nights to longer regional sailings.
Discussing the 2027 voyages, Katie McAlister, president of Cunard, said: “Our 2027 voyages continue that proud tradition, combining thoughtfully curated itineraries with immersive experiences that bring each destination to life.”
Shore experiences planned for Queen Anne’s South America sailing include opportunities to visit Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, as well as Machu Picchu in Peru. The program also includes food, wine and cultural experiences.
Queen Anne leaves Southampton on January 10, 2027. An overnight stay in Rio de Janeiro will coincide with Rio Carnival.
