P&O Cruises’ Aurora Begins 24-Night Mediterranean Voyage

P&O Cruises’ Aurora has departed Southampton on a 24-night “Grand Mediterranean” voyage with calls at 11 destinations across southern Europe and North Africa. The 1,800-passenger ship is scheduled to complete the roundtrip sailing on October 8, 2026.
The voyage is longer than the four- to 14-night cruises on Aurora’s schedule for the remainder of the year, combining western and eastern Mediterranean ports with visits to Egypt and Tunisia.
By September 24, Aurora had visited Cadiz, Palermo and Malta. Calls scheduled through late September include Piraeus, Kusadasi, Bodrum, Limassol and Alexandria.
The return leg includes Tunis, Cartagena and Gibraltar. P&O Cruises released the voyage details without comment from an executive.
Following the Mediterranean sailing, Aurora will continue operating from Southampton through the end of 2026. Its remaining itineraries cover Northern Europe and the Atlantic, with destinations including the Norwegian fjords, Iberia, Africa and Madeira.
In early 2027, the ship will leave the same homeport for a 75-night “America and Caribbean Discovery” cruise. Scheduled to be Aurora’s longest voyage of the year, it will visit approximately 35 destinations across the United States and the Caribbean.
That itinerary includes a partial Panama Canal transit and calls at Miami and Port Canaveral, along with overnight stays in Galveston and New Orleans. Caribbean destinations include Bonaire, Curacao, Grenada, St. Vincent, Costa Maya and Grand Cayman.
P&O’s other extended sailing in early 2027 is a world voyage aboard Arcadia. The ship is scheduled to circumnavigate the globe over 106 nights, visiting regions including the Caribbean, North America, the Pacific, Australia, Asia and Africa.
