Norwegian Jade and Gem Complete Vibe Beach Club Rollout
The Vibe work completes the venue’s rollout across the Jewel class, after Norwegian Jewel and Norwegian Pearl received the club last year.
Norwegian Cruise Line on July 16 detailed new guest areas aboard Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem, including redesigned Mandara Spa thermal suites, adults-only Vibe Beach Clubs and licensed Starbucks stores. The two Jewel-class sister ships emerged from three-week dry docks in May with the additions in place.

“These recent transformations bring some of our most beloved amenities to Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem,” Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, said. The upgrades are intended to create “greater consistency across our fleet,” he said.
Mandara Spa thermal suites gain hot-and-cold amenities
The Mandara Spa and Salon thermal areas on both vessels have been expanded with three times as many heated tile loungers, updated steam rooms and saunas, redesigned reception areas and a more centralized layout. Thermal Suite access on NCL ships is an add-on purchase. Prices vary by vessel and itinerary.
Both ships now have a charcoal sauna, salt room, ice room, IV lounge and Four-Senses Loungers. Norwegian Jade also received experiential showers using multiple jets and lighting effects, along with a plunge pool; Norwegian Gem’s updated water features include a hot tub and a Thalassotherapy pool with massage jets, bubble loungers and countercurrents.
Vibe brings a new Deck 14 paid-access area
Vibe replaces the previous Deck 14 sundeck on Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem. The 18-plus area includes ocean-facing lounge space, a private bar, a hot tub, 50 padded lounge chairs and seven cabanas; NCL sells Vibe passes in limited quantities, and cabanas are offered for an additional rental fee.
The Starbucks additions give both ships fully licensed onboard stores, with guests able to use the Starbucks app for payment.
What’s next for the Jewel-class sisters
The work covers two 965-foot sister ships: the 2006-built, 93,558-GT Norwegian Jade carries 2,352 guests at double occupancy and 1,037 crew, while the 2007-built, 93,530-GT Norwegian Gem carries 2,394 guests at double occupancy and 1,070 crew.
Norwegian Jade is scheduled to operate seven-day Alaska and British Columbia cruises through summer 2026, including calls at Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Icy Strait Point, before repositioning to Yokohama in mid-September for eastern Asia sailings into summer 2027.
Norwegian Gem is scheduled to remain in the Mediterranean and Greek Isles through mid-November 2026, then shift to Florida for its 2026-27 Caribbean season.
