Norwegian Cruise Line Adds South Pacific Sailings Through 2027

Norwegian Cruise Line has added South Pacific sailings aboard Norwegian Spirit for 2026 and 2027, with eight- to 13-day itineraries available through December 2026 and further departures scheduled from April to December 2027. The program adds cruises linking Fiji, Australia, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, French Polynesia and the Cook Islands. Starting fares were not included in the announcement.

New itineraries include Fiji, Sydney and Papeete departures

One of the newly listed sailings is a 12-day cruise from Lautoka, Fiji, to Sydney departing November 30, 2026. The itinerary includes calls in Fiji and Vanuatu before visiting Brisbane and Newcastle ahead of arrival in Sydney.

NCL also scheduled an 11-day South Pacific voyage from Sydney on April 23, 2027. That cruise calls at destinations in New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Fiji, including Noumea, Lifou, Port Vila, Mystery Island and multiple Fiji ports.

For French Polynesia, Norwegian Spirit will operate eight-day round-trip sailings from Papeete on selected dates in June and September 2027. The itinerary includes Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, along with Raiatea and Moorea.

Ben Angell, managing director and vice president, Asia-Pacific at NCL, said the expanded schedule follows his own experience sailing the region. “There’s nothing quite like travelling between these picture-perfect destinations by sea,” Angell said.

Norwegian Spirit remains central to NCL’s South Pacific schedule

The program will operate on Norwegian Spirit, a mid-sized ship built in 1998 and refurbished in 2022. The line did not announce another vessel for the added South Pacific departures.

The cruise schedule also aligns with planned direct flights between Sydney and Papeete beginning in December 2026. That air link would add a direct gateway for fly-cruise passengers combining Australia, French Polynesia and wider South Pacific itineraries.
