MSC has not announced the venue’s final name; the ship’s broader lineup includes nineteen dining venues and forty bars, lounges, cafes and restaurants.

MSC Cruises will debut a three-in-one Pan-Asian street-food venue aboard the 215,863-GT MSC World Asia when the new ship begins seven-night Mediterranean sailings on Dec. 4, 2026. The fleet-first concept combines a specialty restaurant, a bar and lounge, and a complimentary on-the-go window in a single space.

The venue is one piece of a broader food-and-beverage lineup. MSC World Asia will carry 19 dining venues and 40 bars, lounges, cafes and restaurants. The ship is scheduled to be named Nov. 28 in Le Havre, France, before opening its inaugural Mediterranean season from Barcelona.

Three dining formats share one venue

The space blends food, design, music and live cooking in a setting inspired by street markets across Indonesia, Singapore, South China, Thailand and Vietnam. MSC said decor, bold artwork, a curated soundtrack and live kitchen energy will be part of the experience.

The restaurant portion offers indoor seating and a casual rooftop terrace. Guests choose one appetizer, one main course and one dessert from a Pan-Asian menu. Announced examples include Singapore-style prawns, shiitake mushroom fried rice and wok-fired specialties. Beverage options extend to bottled Asian beers such as Tsingtao, Chang and Bintang, along with bubble teas, smoothies and fruit juices.

The bar will serve Southeast Asian-inspired cocktails, including jasmine mojitos, rose and strawberry daiquiris, and matcha coladas. The complimentary daytime window will offer quicker street-food-style items such as crispy seafood balls and bao buns.

“With this new three-in-one venue, we are inviting guests to explore one of the world's most exciting food cultures in a way that is vibrant, welcoming and full of flavour,” said Stéphane Franchini, MSC Cruises' senior director of food and beverage product. “It reflects our ambition to offer greater choice, seamless convenience and more memorable moments through food.”

The concept also draws on the work of Chefs Xiao Wang and Luca Cesarini, MSC said. Xiao has roots in Shanghai and experience developing Asian concepts for MSC Cruises, while Cesarini's background includes kitchens in Shanghai and Thailand. MSC did not announce the final name of the venue.

MSC World Asia's dining lineup takes shape

The new Pan-Asian venue will sit alongside five other specialty dining concepts on MSC World Asia: Butcher's Cut, Kaito Sushi Bar, Kaito Teppanyaki, Hola! Tacos & Cantina and a new Mediterranean restaurant.

Butcher's Cut is MSC Cruises' American-style steakhouse, serving premium cuts of meat. Kaito Sushi Bar will offer sushi and Asian dishes, while Kaito Teppanyaki features four cooking stations where guests can watch Japanese dishes prepared. Hola! Tacos & Cantina will serve Latin American and Mexican-inspired dishes and drinks in a casual setting. Details of the new Mediterranean restaurant, described as serving authentic Mediterranean cuisine, will be announced soon, MSC said.

The ship's dining program will also include six main dining concepts, the MSC Yacht Club exclusive restaurant and additional fast-casual and on-the-go options.

The ship behind the venue

Built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in France, MSC World Asia is scheduled for delivery in November 2026. MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato said the ship is the third of eight World Class vessels. Captain Paolo Benini will take command.

After the Le Havre naming ceremony, the inaugural Western Mediterranean program will sail seven-night itineraries calling at Marseille, Barcelona, Genoa, Civitavecchia for Rome, Messina and Valletta. Guests can embark at every port on the route.

Other announced features include The Cliffhanger, an over-water swing 50 meters above the sea; The Spiral @ Tree of Life, an 81.3-meter dry slide spanning 11 decks; the Twin Racer & U Drop waterslides; and the Adventure Trail high ropes course, which covers 6,210 square feet. The ship will also carry the MSC Formula Racer two-seat simulator, the two-deck MSC Luna Park Arena, seven pools and 13 hot tubs.
