MSC Cruises Named Title Sponsor for Three 2027 Formula 1 Races

MSC Cruises will be the title sponsor of the Belgian, Portuguese and Turkish Formula 1 Grands Prix in 2027. It will be the second consecutive season in which the cruise line holds title sponsorships for three races.

The sponsorships expand on a Formula 1 partnership that began in 2022 and has been extended through 2030, encompassing trackside advertising and hospitality programs.

“MSC Group's Cruise Division brands, MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, will also have a presence at select races through trackside branding and hospitality activations,” said Olivia Lamme, an MSC Cruises publicist and senior executive with Lou Hammond Group.

The Portuguese Grand Prix is scheduled for June 18–20 at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve near Portimao. The race brings Formula 1 back to Portugal.

Belgium’s race weekend follows on July 23–25 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in the Belgian Ardennes. The Turkish Grand Prix will take place October 1–3 at Istanbul Park, returning to the calendar under a new five-year agreement beginning in 2027.

The cruise line’s existing hospitality activities include an MSC Yacht Club experience introduced at the 2026 Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix.

Called The Marina, presented by MSC Cruises, the Miami venue was designed to resemble a 50-foot-tall superyacht. The multilevel structure extended across Turns 5 through 9, giving spectators views of up to five corners. A general-admission viewing platform at Turn 7 opened that section of the circuit to spectators without reserved hospitality access.

Its hospitality areas included pools, shaded seating and cocktail service, with viewing decks and open-air terraces. Those areas took their inspiration from the onboard MSC Yacht Club, whose amenities include a private restaurant and 24-hour butler service.
