Mein Schiff 1 Calls at Port Canaveral After Norfolk Weather Cancellation
The 2018-built vessel is sailing eleven- to fourteen-night fall itineraries from Bayonne before moving to La Romana in November for a Caribbean program.
TUI Cruises’ 2,894-passenger Mein Schiff 1 called at Port Canaveral on September 27, 2026, during a ten-night roundtrip cruise from Cape Liberty in Bayonne. The port confirmed the transit visit in a social media post that Sunday.
Adverse weather along North America’s East Coast forced the cancellation of the voyage’s planned call in Norfolk, Virginia. Fort Lauderdale replaced it.
The itinerary began with an overnight stay at Bayonne Cruise Terminal and includes Miami and Nassau. Port Canaveral is also scheduled to receive the ship twice more during its current deployment, on October 16 and October 26.
Mein Schiff 1 shared the port with MSC Seascape, Norwegian Prima and Carnival Vista on the day of its visit.
The 2018-built vessel began its regional fall deployment after arriving in Bayonne in early September. Alongside the current voyage, the program includes sailings of 11 to 14 nights visiting destinations in Canada, the United States and the Bahamas.
In early November, the ship will reposition to the Dominican Republic for a winter Caribbean program based in La Romana. It will operate 14-night Western and Southern Caribbean itineraries, with embarkation also available in Jamaica. The winter schedule takes in Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica.
Mein Schiff 1 is also booked for three further transit calls at Port Canaveral between October and November 2027.
