Genting Dream Enters Drydock Before Sept. 25 Return
After its two-night return cruise to nowhere, Genting Dream is scheduled for one- to five-night sailings to Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
StarDream Cruises has paused Genting Dream’s year-round Singapore program while the ship undergoes drydock work at Seatrium’s Tuas shipyard, where it arrived on September 6, 2026. The vessel is scheduled to return to service on September 25 with a two-night weekend cruise to nowhere from Marina Bay Cruise Centre. StarDream has not disclosed any planned upgrades or repairs.
Genting Dream before the drydock
The 150,695-gross-ton Genting Dream was built by Meyer Werft in 2016. The 335.35-meter ship has 1,674 cabins, capacity for 3,348 passengers and accommodations for as many as 2,016 crew members.
Genting Hong Kong originally commissioned the vessel for the Dream Cruises brand and its Asian cruise program. After the original owner ceased operations, the ship was chartered to Resorts World Cruises in mid-2022; that operator later became StarDream Cruises.
Genting Dream normally operates throughout the year from Singapore, offering short regional itineraries from Marina Bay.
Regional cruises resume after drydock
Following its two-night return sailing, Genting Dream is scheduled to operate cruises lasting one to five nights. Its destinations include Melaka, Penang and Port Klang in Malaysia; Phuket in Thailand; and Lombok and Bali in Indonesia.
StarDream is also deploying Star Voyager from Singapore between September and December. The former Pacific Explorer is operating two- to five-night regional cruises with calls including Melaka, Port Klang, Penang and Pulau Pangkor before its planned repositioning to Hong Kong in early 2027.
Similar Genting Dream itineraries are already scheduled for 2027, running from Singapore through late April.
