Emerald Cruises Adds Seychelles and Indian Ocean Sailings for 2026
The departures are set for November 17, 2026, from Mahe and November 29 from Mombasa, with calls at Aldabra Atoll, Zanzibar and Kilwa Kisiwani.
Emerald Cruises & Tours will operate two 13-day Seychelles & Indian Ocean Adventure sailings aboard Emerald Kaia in November 2026, linking Mahe, Seychelles, and Mombasa, Kenya. The two departures put the 128-guest yacht on an Indian Ocean and East Africa routing that includes Seychelles islands and atolls, coastal cultural sites and wildlife-focused calls.
The departures are scheduled for Nov. 17, 2026, from Mahe to Mombasa and Nov. 29, 2026, on the reverse Mombasa-to-Mahe itinerary. Destinations named for the program include Mahe, La Digue, Praslin, Farquhar Atoll, Aldabra Atoll, Kilwa Kisiwani, Mafia Island, Zanzibar and Mombasa.
The itinerary features remote tropical islands, coral reefs, lagoons, rare wildlife, Indian Ocean biodiversity, East African history and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The product includes airport transfers, gratuities, a premium drinks package and selected excursions; Emerald did not announce starting fares.
“The Seychelles represents one of the last truly untouched frontiers in luxury travel,” said Ken Muskat, president of Scenic Group USA & LATAM.
“Our luxury yachts can reach secluded islands and intimate ports that simply aren’t accessible to larger ships,” said Robert Castro, vice president of marketing for Scenic Group USA & LATAM.
Emerald’s newbuild schedule continues
Emerald Kaia, sister ship to Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara, is scheduled to launch first in the Mediterranean before operating the Seychelles and Indian Ocean voyages later in 2026.
Emerald also has additional capacity planned across its river and yacht programs. Emerald Astra is due on Europe’s waterways in 2026, followed by a new Star-Ship planned for northern France; Emerald Lumi is slated for the Seine in 2027.
The yacht pipeline continues with Emerald Raiya in 2027. Emerald Xara is scheduled to sail in Asia and the Kimberleys from 2028.
