Celestyal Opens Iconic Sale on 178 Mediterranean and Adriatic Cruises

The broad promotion signals Celestyal’s push to rebuild momentum in its home region after a disrupted spring, as Mediterranean demand keeps cruise lines competing for early planners.

Celestyal has launched an Iconic Sale covering 178 Mediterranean and Adriatic itineraries in 2026 and 2027, offering savings on voyages to Greece, Italy, Croatia and Montenegro. The campaign opened April 27 and applies to departures across the line’s March-to-November Mediterranean season.

The sale spans the Piraeus-based operator’s full two-ship Mediterranean and Adriatic program as Celestyal resumes Greek operations after both vessels spent more than 50 days stranded in the Persian Gulf. Celestyal Journey and Celestyal Discovery returned to the Mediterranean in April and welcomed guests back in early May.

Full-season promotion spans both ships

“Our Iconic Sale celebrates everything that makes the Mediterranean so special, from its rich heritage and culture to its incredible diversity of destinations,” said John Diorio, vice president and managing director of business development in North America at Celestyal.

Among the published examples, the three-night Iconic Greek Islands cruise sails roundtrip from Athens on Celestyal Discovery. The itinerary visits Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Crete and Santorini, with fares from $579 per person.

The seven-night Idyllic Greece voyage is priced from $959 per person aboard Celestyal Journey. The Athens roundtrip includes Kusadasi, Rhodes, a Cretan call, Santorini, an overnight in Mykonos and Milos.

Celestyal also used a shorter booking window around the restart. A one-day April 30 flash sale covered 25 roundtrip Athens Greek Island departures in May and June 2026, including 17 three- and four-night Iconic Greek Island sailings on Celestyal Discovery from $209 per person and eight seven-night Idyllic Greece departures on Celestyal Journey from $499. Those flash-sale fares included meals, soft drinks, WiFi, port fees and gratuities.

“We’re incredibly excited to be back in our homeport of Athens and ready to welcome guests onboard for the summer season,” said Lee Haslett, chief commercial officer at Celestyal. He described the flash sale as a chance for guests to book sailings over the following weeks.

Agios Nikolaos added to Idyllic Greece

The Idyllic Greece program has also shifted its Cretan call. Celestyal Journey made its inaugural call at Agios Nikolaos on May 12, replacing Heraklion on the seven-night itinerary that sails from Athens to Kusadasi, Rhodes, Agios Nikolaos, Santorini, Mykonos and Milos.

“Agios Nikolaos has a growing role as a cruise destination and is a fantastic addition to our ‘Idyllic Greece’ itinerary,” Haslett said. Celestyal describes the resort town as less frequently visited by cruise ships than some more established Greek ports.

The Iconic Sale booking window closes June 2. Celestyal Journey is scheduled to make 21 additional Agios Nikolaos calls before the line’s 2026 Mediterranean season ends in November.
