Carnival Miracle Sails From Seattle to Galveston via Panama Canal

Before transiting the Panama Canal, Carnival Miracle will call at Cabo San Lucas and Puntarenas, then visit Cartagena de Indias en route to Galveston.

Carnival Miracle is sailing from Seattle to Galveston on a 16-night Panama Canal repositioning voyage that departed September 26, 2026. The Carnival Cruise Line ship is scheduled to arrive in Texas on October 12 to begin a winter Caribbean deployment following its summer Alaska season.

The Galveston program will alternate four- and ten-night cruises, supplemented by special ten-night departures to the Eastern Caribbean and the Bahamas. Five-night Western Caribbean sailings are also scheduled for the holidays.

The repositioning itinerary includes Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, followed by Puntarenas, Costa Rica, before the Panama Canal transit. Once in the Caribbean, the ship will call at Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, then sail directly to its winter homeport.

From Galveston, the shorter regular itineraries will visit Cozumel, Mexico. The longer Western Caribbean cruises include destinations such as George Town in the Cayman Islands, Roatán in Honduras and Puerto Limón in Costa Rica.

Built by Kvaerner Masa-Yards, the Spirit-class vessel entered service in 2004 and measures 88,500 gross tons. Carnival’s official fact sheet lists its double-occupancy passenger capacity at 2,124.

The ship concluded its Alaska deployment with the nine-night “Alaska Inside Passage & Glacier” cruise, which left Seattle on September 17 and returned on the day the repositioning voyage began. That roundtrip itinerary called at Skagway, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria, with scenic cruising through the Inside Passage and Endicott Arm.

Carnival Miracle’s Texas schedule continues through early May 2027. Its next repositioning voyage is a transatlantic departure on May 6, ahead of a summer sailing Carnival itineraries in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.

Carnival Legend will take over the Alaska assignment next year, joining Carnival Spirit in Seattle. The two ships are scheduled to operate seven- to nine-night voyages that also include destinations in British Columbia.
