Atlas Adds Four Long Voyages to Adventurer’s Debut Season
The Grand Odyssey Expedition departs Kobe for Cape Town on November 30, 2028, and includes three exclusive shoreside experiences.
Atlas Ocean Voyages has added four extended “Extraordinary Expeditions” to the inaugural season of Atlas Adventurer, a 400-guest expedition ship, with sailings from 40 to 128 nights across Asia, Africa and onward to the Mediterranean beginning in late 2028. The program starts Nov. 30, 2028, with a 128-night Kobe-to-Cape Town voyage and continues with three shorter long-form itineraries through April 2029.
Atlas has positioned the voyages as slower-paced regional programs with guest benefits not attached to its shorter sailings.
Four extended itineraries added to the debut season
The longest of the new sailings is the Grand Odyssey Expedition, departing Nov. 30, 2028, from Kobe, Japan, to Cape Town, South Africa, over 128 nights.
The remaining three voyages are the 40-night Apex of the East Indies from Bangkok to Singapore, departing Dec. 23, 2028; the 42-night East Africa & Asia Expedition from Bali to Mombasa, departing Feb. 10, 2029; and the 45-night Silk & Sands Passage from Cape Town to Athens, departing April 7, 2029.
James A. Rodriguez, president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages, said the new program is intended to extend the line’s year-round expedition model into longer itineraries. “These journeys were created for travelers who believe that time is life’s greatest luxury,” Rodriguez said.
Added benefits for long-voyage guests
Guests booked on the Extraordinary Expeditions sailings will receive up to $4,500 in air credit per guest, a complimentary one-night pre-expedition hotel stay, private arrival and departure transfers, laundry service and unlimited Wi-Fi. Each voyage also includes an exclusive shoreside experience.
The 128-night Grand Odyssey Expedition adds two more, for three in total.
Where Atlas Adventurer fits in the fleet
Atlas Ocean Voyages was founded in 2019 and operates three active ships: World Navigator, World Traveller and World Voyager. Atlas Adventurer is scheduled to become the next vessel in the fleet when it enters service in November 2028.
Across the broader inaugural season, Atlas Adventurer’s Asia and Africa itineraries start at eight nights.
