American Patriot Calls Generate $62,805 Impact for Sheboygan
American Patriot sailed a nine-day Lake Michigan and Upper Peninsula itinerary, with Sheboygan excursions to Nourish Farms and 3 Sheeps Brewing.
Four calls by American Cruise Lines’ American Patriot generated an estimated $62,805 in economic impact for Sheboygan during the summer season, according to Visit Sheboygan. Passengers spent about $39,500 across visits in June, July and August. Each sailing carried about 125 guests.
The calls brought roughly 500 passenger visits to the Wisconsin city. American Cruise Lines has scheduled six Sheboygan stops for 2027, two more than the four counted in this summer’s estimate.
Excursions distributed spending across the city
American Patriot visited Sheboygan as part of American Cruise Lines’ nine-day, eight-night Lake Michigan and Upper Peninsula itinerary. Shore excursions included the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Christopher Farm & Gardens and the Aviation Heritage Center of Wisconsin.
Nourish Farms hosted passengers for a farm-to-table lunch, while 3 Sheeps Brewing offered beer sampling and a brewery tour. During the first call, passengers also spent time along the riverfront and in downtown Sheboygan. Visitors interviewed during the stop praised the city’s waterfront and the reception from local residents.
American Patriot’s published capacity ranges from 125 to 130 guests, consistent with the passenger count reported for the Sheboygan calls. Commercial cruise vessels dock along the reconstructed seawall at the mouth of the Sheboygan River.
Six Sheboygan visits planned for 2027
The 2027 sailings will depart Milwaukee on May 21, May 28, July 12, July 19 and July 26. The final departure with a scheduled Sheboygan stop is set for Sept. 9, 2027.
