Ritz-Carlton’s Luminara Opens Alaska Schedule in Vancouver
During the turn call, Luminara disembarked and embarked guests, took on supplies, then sailed north through Canada’s Inside Passage toward Alaska.
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Luminara made its inaugural call at Vancouver’s Canada Place on June 8, opening a nine-call 2026 schedule for the line at the port as part of a new annual Alaska itinerary. The 46,750-gross-ton superyacht carries 452 guests and 374 crew. It was the port’s first ultra-luxury call.
The call adds a new brand to Vancouver’s Alaska traffic during a season in which nearly 360 cruise ship calls are scheduled at Canada Place. The terminal expects a record 1.4 million cruise passengers in 2026, its 40th year of operation.
Luminara handled turn operations in Vancouver, disembarking and embarking guests and taking on supplies before sailing north through Canada’s Inside Passage toward Alaska.
“We are thrilled to welcome The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection to Vancouver,” said Jane Banham, director of trade development at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. Banham said Canada Place’s downtown setting and access to the Inside Passage fit the onboard product offered by Luminara.
Luminara is the newest yacht in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s three-vessel fleet, joining Evrima and Ilma.
