Revelex Launches Revy AI Cruise Assistant in PowerAgent 5
Windstar Cruises has integrated its sailings with PowerAgent 5, making them available to travel advisors through Revelex’s booking technology.
Revelex has launched Revy AI, a cruise-booking assistant, and an interactive 3D Cruise Deck Viewer for travel advisors and consumers. The AI tool works within the company’s PowerAgent 5 platform, while the viewer lets users examine ship layouts, stateroom locations and onboard amenities before booking.
PowerAgent 5 aggregates inventory from more than 40 cruise lines and supports searches, quotes, bookings and reservation servicing. Revy AI initially covers ocean sailings.
The launches coincide with the Boca Raton, Florida-based company’s 27th anniversary. “At Revelex, we’ve always believed that technology should make selling travel and planning vacations simpler,” said David Goodis, founder, chairman, president and CEO of Revelex.
How Revy AI works inside PowerAgent 5
“We developed Revy AI to make cruise booking more intuitive by bringing smarter, more personalized assistance into the booking process,” said Marco Gomez Van Houten, director of digital experience at Revelex.
Users can describe where they want to travel, when they want to depart and how much they want to spend. The assistant identifies matching sailings, and users can narrow those results further by cruise line, travel dates or price.
Beyond finding a sailing, Revy AI is designed to help users work through cruise categories and subcategories, rate codes and other booking requirements. Revelex says it supports travel professionals in the business-to-business environment and also works within consumer-facing booking tools.
The assistant can incorporate real-time information about a business’s rules, operating practices and payment procedures, according to Revelex. It can also use company information, business requirements and target-customer profiles as part of its booking support.
PowerAgent 5 provides access to both public and private fares through a global API. Windstar Cruises has integrated its sailings with the platform, making them available to travel advisors through Revelex’s booking technology.
Interactive views of cabins and amenities
The 3D Cruise Deck Viewer converts conventional deck plans into interactive ship representations. Advisors and clients can explore individual decks, view staterooms and see where cabins sit in relation to amenities. The tool also supports comparisons between cabin categories and cruise line offerings, according to Revelex.
Revelex plans to extend Revy AI to river cruising next. Later development is expected to cover hotels and other travel products, including guided vacations, flights and vacation packages.
