Oceania Opens Bookings for Aurelia’s 2028 World Cruise Segments
The full world voyage includes overnight stays in Papeete and Bora Bora, and Oceania says nearly one hundred UNESCO World Heritage sites are accessible during the itinerary.
Oceania Cruises has opened 12 segments of Oceania Aurelia’s inaugural 180-day Around the World voyage for booking, offering 10- to 19-day portions of the sailing scheduled to leave Miami in January 2028. The full itinerary will cover six continents, with segments across the Americas, South Pacific, Asia and Mediterranean.
The segments can also be combined through back-to-back bookings. Oceania detailed six of the 12, with departures running from January through June 2028.
“These 12 segments give the opportunity to experience a chapter of Oceania Aurelia’s remarkable 180-day global journey,” Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises, said.
The selection also includes an 18-day sailing from Los Angeles to Papeete and a two-week itinerary from Sydney to Bali. Departure dates and port lists for those two sailings, along with details of the remaining four segments, were not included in the announcement. No fares were disclosed.
Six segments outlined for 2028
- Two Oceans Odyssey: A 17-day voyage from Miami to Los Angeles departing January 19. The itinerary transits the Panama Canal and includes Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Mexico.
- South Pacific Serenade: A 19-day sailing from Papeete to Sydney departing February 23, with calls at Bora Bora, Pago Pago, Vava’u, Lautoka, Port Vila and Noumea.
- Isles of the Orient: A 14-day voyage from Bali to Taipei departing March 27. Calls include Jakarta, Singapore, Puerto Princesa, Coron, Manila, Salomague and Hualien.
- Pearls of East Asia: A 12-day sailing from Taipei to Tokyo departing April 10, visiting Busan in South Korea and the Japanese destinations of Kagoshima, Nagasaki, Kochi and Osaka.
- Treasures of Southeast Asia: A 12-day itinerary from Hong Kong to Bangkok departing May 2. The route includes Hanoi at Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh City, Sihanoukville and Ko Kood.
- Timeless Mediterranean: A 14-day voyage from Istanbul to Barcelona departing June 20, with visits including Athens, Katakolon, Messina, Salerno, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Livorno, Nice, Saint-Tropez, Sete and Palamos.

The complete Around the World voyage will include overnight stays in Papeete, Bora Bora, Sydney, Bali, Tokyo, Bangkok and Mumbai. Oceania plans to offer thousands of small-group shore excursions, with nearly 100 UNESCO World Heritage sites accessible during the itinerary.
Aurelia is listed at 30,277 gross tons, with capacity for 476 passengers and 400 crew. Its 238 accommodations include 179 suites. Chantiers de l’Atlantique is building the ship at Saint-Nazaire in France.
