MSC Cruises Adds Blackjack Jackpots to Seven Ships in North America
The rollout follows nearly two years of work between MSC and Galaxy, which did not disclose jackpot values, game rules or whether progressives are linked between ships.
Galaxy Gaming (OTC: GLXZ) has completed the first phase of a progressive jackpot deployment covering 30 blackjack tables on seven MSC Cruises ships in North America. Announced Aug. 18, 2026, the installation introduces MSC’s first progressive table-game jackpot system. The initial installation reaches about 30% of MSC’s 23-ship global fleet.
Progressive jackpots added to blackjack tables
The Galaxy Operating System, or GOS, manages table-game features including progressive jackpots, digital tracking and linked wagers across games such as blackjack, baccarat, roulette and craps. MSC’s configuration uses the platform to provide customized progressives at blackjack tables.
“We are pleased to bring the Galaxy Operating System to our casino floors as we continue to enhance the gaming experience for our guests through innovative technology,” said Burkay Gokgoz, director of casino operations for MSC Cruises USA.
MSC selected the system after evaluating its performance, flexibility, service capabilities and effect on the guest experience. Gokgoz said the progressive jackpots would create a more dynamic casino environment for players aboard the participating ships.
Galaxy did not provide details about jackpot values, game rules or whether progressives are linked between ships.
Rollout follows nearly two years of work
“This milestone represents nearly two years of collaboration between MSC Cruises and Galaxy Gaming,” said Greg Stewart, Galaxy Gaming’s vice president of global sales. Stewart said the platform and the company’s support operation were designed to accommodate MSC’s growth in multiple regions.
Las Vegas-based Galaxy develops and licenses proprietary casino table games, side bets and related technology for physical casinos, cruise ships, electronic table-game providers and online operators. Its portfolio includes blackjack products such as 21+3, Perfect Pairs, Lucky Ladies and Buster Blackjack, alongside its GOS technology.
The company says it holds more than 140 licenses worldwide, including approvals in 28 U.S. states and more than 30 countries.
Galaxy described GOS as scalable for further deployment across MSC’s fleet. The companies did not identify the participating ships or announce the scope and timetable of a second phase.
