Margaritaville at Sea to Unite Fleet in Nassau for Zac Brown Show
Miami-Dade County commissioners are scheduled to consider a PortMiami agreement giving Margaritaville at Sea preference at Cruise Terminal C for about one hundred seventy calls.
Margaritaville at Sea will bring Paradise, Islander and Beachcomber together in Nassau on Jan. 28, 2027, for the first single-destination gathering of its three-ship fleet. The event will pair three overlapping sailings with an exclusive Zac Brown Band concert for guests at the Nassau Cruise Port Amphitheater.
The gathering comes less than five years after Margaritaville at Sea began sailing from the Port of Palm Beach with Paradise in May 2022. By early 2027, the line will have three ships operating from three Florida homeports: Palm Beach, Tampa and Miami.
Three sailings timed for Nassau
Paradise will sail a four-night cruise from the Port of Palm Beach to Freeport and Nassau, while Islander will operate a five-night itinerary from Port Tampa Bay to Freeport, Grand Bahama, and Nassau. Beachcomber, during its inaugural season, will sail a seven-night PortMiami itinerary calling at George Town, Grand Cayman; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; and Nassau.
All three itineraries are open for booking. Guests on each ship are scheduled to receive access to the private Zac Brown Band performance. Onboard programming also includes a Captain’s Toast, a sail-away event and additional activities tied to the fleet gathering.
“This is more than a celebration of our fleet; it’s a defining moment for Margaritaville at Sea,” said Christopher Ivy, chief executive officer of Margaritaville at Sea.
VIP packages will be sold separately, though Margaritaville at Sea did not disclose pricing or specific package inclusions. The line also launched its limited-time “America’s Summer Sale,” offering 50 percent off cruises across all itineraries, third and fourth guests free on select sailings, complimentary stateroom upgrades and stateroom selection on select sailings, and $50 deposits on select sailings.
Beachcomber joins from Miami
Beachcomber, the former Costa Fortuna, is expected to become the largest ship in the Margaritaville at Sea fleet. Its Miami deployment is tied to a proposed preferential berthing agreement at PortMiami. Miami-Dade County commissioners are scheduled to consider an agreement that would give Margaritaville at Sea preference at Cruise Terminal C for about 170 calls from Jan. 9, 2027, through April 30, 2031, guaranteeing approximately 1 million passenger movements and at least $23.15 million in port revenue over five years.
If approved, the agreement would be PortMiami’s first preferential berthing agreement with a new cruise line since its 2019 agreement with Virgin Voyages. The proposal also includes limited incentives related to parking, marketing, non-peak day calls and evening calls.
Entertainment programming extends to the new ship
Margaritaville at Sea has announced three original productions for Beachcomber: “Friday Night Country,” a country music concert-style show; “Red, White & Margaritaville,” a rock-focused production; and “Club Fuego,” a Latin-themed show with both all-ages and adults-only versions.
“Live music and original entertainment have always been central to the Margaritaville at Sea experience,” said Karen Maybury, vice president of entertainment.
Before it enters service, Beachcomber is scheduled to begin a 12-week dry dock conversion in late September 2026, after which the ship is expected to emerge with Margaritaville-branded venues, updated public spaces, new dining concepts and entertainment areas.
