Margaritaville at Sea Expands Heroes Month With Caribbean Giveaway
As Margaritaville at Sea moves toward a larger fleet presence, its heroes program shows how niche cruise brands are using recognition to build loyalty and stand apart.
Margaritaville at Sea will expand its Heroes Month program in May with a new seven-night Caribbean cruise giveaway, renewed partner activity and a dedicated Heroes Hall aboard Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber. Active-duty and former military personnel, first responders, nurses and educators are the focus of the monthlong campaign, which builds on the line's Heroes Sail Free offer launched with GOVX in 2022.
The announcement ties the recognition program to Beachcomber, the former Costa Fortuna scheduled to debut in January 2027 as Margaritaville at Sea's largest ship. The line currently operates two Florida-based ships: Margaritaville at Sea Paradise from the Port of Palm Beach and Margaritaville at Sea Islander from Port Tampa Bay.
“Heroes Month is about more than recognizing the Heroes who sail with us every day,” Christopher Ivy, chief executive officer of Margaritaville at Sea, said. “It’s about creating real moments of connection, gratitude and well-earned escape onboard our ships.”
Heroes Hall to debut on Beachcomber
Heroes Hall is planned as a walk-through space with visual displays and memorabilia connected to the stories of eligible heroes. Ivy said the company's commitment “will only expand” with Beachcomber and with what he described as the line's first venue dedicated to heroes.
Beachcomber's maiden season is planned for four- to eight-night Southern and Eastern Caribbean itineraries from PortMiami in 2027.
Giveaway and partner work during May
Eligible guests can enter the Heroes At Sea giveaway onboard any May sailing. Friends and family can nominate someone online. The prize is for two guests on a Caribbean cruise departing from Port Tampa Bay.
Margaritaville at Sea will also continue as the official partner of Hire Heroes USA for the second consecutive year, supporting veteran-focused initiatives. The company said it will keep working with GOVX, whose online GOVX ID process verifies eligible users for protected discounts and offers; the broader Heroes Sail Free program has included U.S. military members, first responders, educators, government employees and medical personnel.
