JetBlue and Virgin Voyages Launch Adults-Only Cruise Package

Guests will fly by charter from JFK to Fort Lauderdale, transfer privately to PortMiami and sail to Key West and Virgin Voyages’ Beach Club at Bimini.

JetBlue Vacations and Virgin Voyages have launched a one-time adults-only flight-and-cruise package pairing chartered JetBlue flights with a four-night sailing aboard Brilliant Lady from March 4 to 8, 2027. The Do Not Disturb package is limited to 60 cabins, with prices starting at US$2,750 for two guests.

The package extends Virgin Voyages’ 18-and-older policy to the air journey, with round-trip charter flights available only to travelers purchasing the combined holiday. The age restriction does not apply across JetBlue’s scheduled network.

“People have wanted this kind of kid-free from takeoff to sail away for a long time, and now it actually exists,” said Nirmal Saverimuttu, chief executive officer of Virgin Voyages.

Flights, transfers and a Sea Terrace cabin

Guests will fly from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, then take private transfers to PortMiami. Luggage handling is included, along with priority cruise boarding through Virgin Voyages’ RockStar entrance. After disembarkation, travelers will return to Fort Lauderdale for the charter flight back to New York.

The cruise visits Key West, Florida, and Virgin Voyages’ Beach Club at Bimini in the Bahamas. Accommodation is in a Sea Terrace cabin, and the advertised package price covers airfare, cruise fare, airport transfers, taxes, fees and gratuities.

Air-travel extras include a complimentary alcoholic drink during the flight and limited, first-come, first-served access to JetBlue’s BlueHouse lounge at JFK. Bookings also earn JetBlue TrueBlue points and credit toward Virgin Voyages’ Sailing Club loyalty program.

Onboard benefits include a private welcome party with a custom cocktail, in-cabin gifts and a US$100 Bar Tab drinks credit per cabin. Ten travelers will receive an additional US$50 onboard credit that can be used for excursions, spa services or other extras.

Bookings opened October 21 through JetBlue Vacations. The promotion is scheduled to remain available until noon Eastern time on October 27, subject to availability.

A test of the air-and-cruise partnership

JetBlue Vacations began selling Virgin Voyages cruises in 2025. Virgin has maintained its adults-only policy since its first sailing in 2021, and the companies developed the charter package as a way to promote their existing partnership.

“JetBlue Vacations’ cruise business has doubled from last year and is on track to double again next year,” Jamie Perry, president of Paisly, the JetBlue subsidiary that operates JetBlue Vacations, said during an early October briefing.

“From the flight to the transfer to the cruise itself, we’ve thought about the entire journey,” he said of the package.

Previous airline age restrictions have included designated seating areas. Corendon introduced a section for passengers aged 16 and older on its Amsterdam–Curaçao service in 2023, while AirAsia X and Scoot have offered paid quiet zones excluding children under 12. Those products allow younger passengers elsewhere on the aircraft.

A December 2025 YouGov poll found that 21% of Americans considered disruptive children a major issue with air travel. Separately, a 2023 YouGov poll found that 58% considered loud or noisy children older than four unacceptable on planes.

“If this is as successful as we hope it will be, then there are certainly opportunities for us to extend it,” Perry said. Potential extensions include departures from other cities, hotel packages and additional adults-only flights.
