Zuiderdam’s Boston itinerary includes Norfolk, Virginia, and an overnight in New York City, plus a Great American Songbook concert and cruise-specific bandana.
Seattle-based Holland America Line will add Independence Day programming across cruises operating during the July 4 weekend in 2026, aligning its holiday schedule with the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence. The program includes live music, themed dining and beverage service, onboard games, keepsakes and a dedicated “America’s 250th Celebration: Stars & Stripes” cruise departing Boston on July 4 aboard Zuiderdam. Events focused on American history, culture and music will be available on select itineraries.
North America sailings add music, games and holiday menus

The line also plans lawn games, Fourth of July trivia, scavenger hunts and live cooking demonstrations based on American flavors and holiday food traditions. Food and beverage changes will include patriotic breakfast and dinner items and Independence Day beverage specials.
“We’re excited to bring the spirit of America’s 250th anniversary to life across our fleet,” said Michael Stendebach, senior vice president of food, beverage and rooms division for Holland America Line. “We have worked with intention to create moments that feel fun, memorable and connective.”
