Holland America Expands Single Barrel Series to 13 Selections

The lineup also includes two Angel's Envy bourbons finished in port barrels and a 12-year WhistlePig Maple Brulee rye finished in re-charred maple syrup barrels.

Holland America Line is expanding its onboard Single Barrel Series to 13 bourbons and ryes for 2026, up from nine selections last year, with the bottles available in the Ocean Bar across the fleet.

The program grew in 2025 from one Buffalo Trace barrel to nine single barrels sourced from multiple distilleries.

“With the Single Barrel Series, we're bringing rare single-barrel selections to our guests in a way they may not typically experience,” said Drew Foulk, director of food and beverage revenue and innovation for Holland America Line. “These barrels often end up with retailers or collectors, but we're changing that model by making them available onboard for guests to enjoy during their cruise.”

For 2026, the lineup includes Weller Full Proof Single Barrel Bourbon, Blanton’s Private Barrel Bourbon, Elijah Craig Single Barrel Bourbon, Kentucky Peerless Single Barrel Bourbon, 1792 Bottled in Bond Single Barrel Bourbon, Uncle Nearest 1884 Single Barrel Bourbon, Woodford Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon, Knob Creek Single Barrel Bourbon and Knob Creek Single Barrel Rye.

Holland America also is carrying two Angel’s Envy single-barrel bourbons finished in port barrels, along with two WhistlePig ryes: a 10-year single barrel and a 12-year Maple Brulee rye finished in re-charred WhistlePig maple syrup barrels. The selections span bourbon and rye profiles, with several releases emphasizing oak, caramel, vanilla, spice, maple or port-finished characteristics.

Foulk said the program is intended to give guests “the opportunity to explore a range of different expressions and profiles they may not encounter anywhere else.” Holland America said its beverage team works directly with distilleries to secure the barrels.

The Single Barrel Series is separate from Holland America’s partnership with Jefferson’s Bourbon, which is built around ocean-aged barrels traveling aboard the line’s 11 ships. In that program, the barrels mature at sea. Ship movement and changing maritime conditions influence the finished bourbon.

Once the Jefferson’s barrels complete their shipboard aging period, they are scheduled to be offloaded, bottled and returned to Holland America’s fleet. Guests are expected to be able to drink the finished ocean-aged bourbon onboard beginning in 2027.
