Cunard Sets 2027 Entertainment Lineup Across Fleet

Theatre at Sea returns October 20 to 27, 2027 on a transatlantic crossing with Olivier Awards-linked performances, workshops and backstage programming.

Cunard has set its 2027 entertainment program with four returning Event Voyages on Queen Mary 2 and a new series of Entertainment Residencies across Queen Mary 2, Queen Anne, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria. The program spans theatre, ballet, classical music and literature through partnerships with the Olivier Awards, English National Ballet, the National Symphony Orchestra and the team behind the Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival.

Cunard’s first announced 2026 Event Voyages phase covered five seven-night itineraries from May through November, mainly aboard Queen Mary 2 and Queen Anne.

“Entertainment has always been central to the Cunard experience, and our 2027 program brings together world leading cultural partners in a way that only Cunard can,” said Katie McAlister, president of Cunard.

Theatre at Sea will return for a second year in partnership with the Olivier Awards, following Cunard’s role as headline partner of the ceremony. The Oct. 20-27, 2027 transatlantic crossing will include performances, workshops and backstage programming connected to the awards season.

Dance the Atlantic, presented with English National Ballet, is scheduled for July 16-23, 2027. Cunard said the voyage will feature international dancers, talks and workshops focused on ballet.

Anthony Inglis and the National Symphony Orchestra will sail aboard Queen Mary 2 from Oct. 1-8, 2027, in what Cunard described as the orchestra’s 18th consecutive year with the line. Guests will be able to attend talks and Q&A sessions, and a guest choir will rehearse ahead of a joint performance with the orchestra.

The Literature Festival at Sea is scheduled for Dec. 2-9, 2027. Curated by the team behind the Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, the voyage will bring authors, journalists and other speakers onboard for talks and literary events.

Residencies extend programming to the full fleet

The new Entertainment Residencies will run across all four Cunard ships. Announced productions include The Truman Capote Talk Show; The Essence of Audrey, a biographical production inspired by Audrey Hepburn, who sailed with Cunard; Frozen Love: A Buckingham Nicks Story, about the early relationship of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham; An Afternoon Stroll with Hilaire Belloc; and A Ghost Among the Living.

Cunard’s dedicated Event Voyages program followed the 2016 Transatlantic Fashion Week and has since used themed sailings built around cultural partners and guest participation. For the 2026 first phase, published Britannia Balcony starting fares ranged from $1,529 to $2,349 per person; Cunard did not publish comparable fare information or ship-by-ship residency dates for the 2027 program.
