Cunard Extends Le Gavroche at Sea Residencies on Queen Anne

At Sir Samuels, the Le Gavroche tasting menu will be limited to 50 diners each evening and cost 250 dollars per person, with gala menus elsewhere aboard.

Cunard has confirmed five Le Gavroche at Sea culinary residencies hosted by chef Michel Roux aboard Queen Anne between May 2027 and June 2028. The sailings will visit Norway, the Norwegian fjords and Denmark, with tasting dinners, cooking demonstrations and other events led by Roux.

Le Gavroche’s London restaurant held its final service on January 13, 2024. Cunard says Queen Anne will be the only place where guests can experience the restaurant’s cuisine during the newly announced residencies.

“The response to Le Gavroche at Sea has been extraordinary since its launch,” said Paul Ludlow, president of Cunard. He said the line would continue its partnership with Roux for the two additional seasons.

Five departures across Northern Europe

The 2027 schedule comprises three seven-night voyages: a Norway sailing departing May 2, followed by Norwegian Fjords departures on August 29 and September 5.

The following year, Roux will host a Norway and Denmark voyage departing May 21 and a Norwegian Fjords sailing departing June 4.

Tasting dinners and shipwide menus

Sir Samuels will host the Le Gavroche tasting menu. Seating is capped at 50 diners each evening. The meal costs $250 (£189) per person and features dishes developed around the restaurant’s culinary heritage.

Dining options elsewhere on the ship will also change for the residency voyages. Each main dining room will serve a special three-course gala menu, while the Carinthia Lounge will offer Oysters at Carinthia, an expanded seafood selection available every evening.

Roux’s onboard programme includes live cooking demonstrations, Cunard Insights talks, question-and-answer sessions and book signings.

“Sharing that experience at sea, while sailing through some of the world’s most spectacular destinations, makes it truly special,” Roux said.

Le Gavroche, ashore and at sea

The programme began in 2024 and returned in 2025 and 2026. Cunard has held 12 Le Gavroche at Sea residencies across Queen Mary 2 and Queen Anne.

The restaurant behind the menus was founded by Albert and Michel Roux in 1967 and became the first UK restaurant to receive three Michelin stars in 1982. It operated for more than 56 years, with Michel Roux Jr taking over as chef-patron in 1991.

Guests on the upcoming sailings will also be able to meet twins Ursula and Silvia Perberschlager, known as “The Sisters.” The pair worked front-of-house at Le Gavroche for more than 20 years.
