Atlas Ocean Voyages Sales Rise 49% on Expedition Demand
Atlas Adventurer is scheduled to join in November 2028 with room for up to 400 guests, adding Asia and Africa routes from Kobe, Bangkok, Mombasa and Cape Town.
Atlas Ocean Voyages said year-to-date sales are running 49 percent ahead of the same period in 2025 across all future voyages, citing demand for its existing expedition portfolio and early interest in Atlas Adventurer. The June 8 update came before Atlas Adventurer reservations were scheduled to open to the general public on June 10.
Atlas did not release underlying booking volumes or revenue. The company said demand has been consistent across all 16 inaugural-season voyages for Atlas Adventurer, while interest remains strong for Antarctica, the Arctic and Europe.
“What’s been especially encouraging is seeing how the excitement surrounding the Atlas Adventurer has introduced new travelers and travel advisors to Atlas Ocean Voyages,” said Kristian C. Anderson, executive vice president, global sales. Anderson said the response has contributed to “strong booking activity well beyond a single vessel.”
Atlas launched an Early Priority Deposit program in January and said demand through that phase exceeded expectations. Reservations opened to past guests in May, with Atlas Yacht Club members able to book suites starting May 20.
Mystic Invest introduced Atlas in 2019. World Navigator entered service in August 2021, World Traveller followed in 2022 and World Voyager transferred from Nicko Cruises in 2023.
Atlas Adventurer brings Africa and Asia voyages
Atlas Adventurer is scheduled to join the fleet in November 2028 as a 26,000-gross-ton, 690-foot luxury expedition vessel carrying up to 400 guests and about 275 crew. Its all-suite layout is planned with seven dining venues, five lounges, two outdoor bars, a fitness and wellness center and a pool.
The inaugural season adds Asia and Africa, with new ports in Southeast Asia and Eastern Africa. “With Atlas Adventurer, we are introducing entirely new destinations,” said James A. Rodriguez, president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages, when the program was released in May.
Published routes include Kobe-to-Hong Kong, Bangkok-to-Bali, Manila-to-Singapore, Mombasa-to-Cape Town and Cape Town-to-Mombasa voyages. Atlas is also offering Extraordinary Expeditions of at least 40 nights, including a 128-night Grand Odyssey Expedition from Kobe to Cape Town; the longer voyages include private ground transfers, special events and commemorative gifts.
Offers and included amenities
The Explorer’s Choice Inaugural Offer gives suite guests booking the inaugural season a choice among an air credit of up to $3,000 per suite, unlimited Wi-Fi or a pre-expedition hotel stay. Concierge Collection guests can choose two of those amenities, while Reserve Collection Suite guests receive all three.
Atlas also pointed to Always Included by Atlas as part of the booking response. The program covers wines and spirits, gratuities, specialty coffees and teas, 24-hour in-suite dining with premium beverages, a stocked minibar, L’OCCITANE bath products and binoculars.
The published inaugural season is scheduled to begin Nov. 6, 2028, with a Kobe roundtrip and conclude in late spring 2029 in Athens.
