Ambassador Cruise Line to Partner With England Golf From 2026
Ambassador is leaning into affinity travel, using golf’s club networks to reach a loyal leisure audience as cruise brands look beyond traditional holiday marketing.
Ambassador Cruise Line has announced a three-year partnership with England Golf that makes the cruise operator the governing body's Official Cruise Line Partner from April 1, 2026. The agreement gives Ambassador access to England Golf's member communications, championships programme and captains network as the UK-based line seeks to engage golfers through national events and club channels.
The partnership connects Ambassador with an organisation representing more than 1,900 affiliated golf clubs and about 740,000 members, as well as iGolf subscribers, England Captains, county bodies and club officials. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ambassador to appear across England Golf channels and events
Under the agreement, Ambassador will receive brand placement across England Golf's website, social media channels, app and email communications. The cruise line will also have a presence at England Golf championships and events, with branding at flagship competitions.
Ambassador will become Title Partner of the England Captains Members Program, which runs events and initiatives for club captains across England. The cruise line will also sponsor a category at the annual England Golf Awards and provide dedicated marketing material to clubs nationwide.
Gordon Nardini, chief marketing officer at Ambassador Cruise Line, said the two organisations share a focus on leisure, connection and community. "We are delighted to be partnering with England Golf, an organization that shares our focus on delivering high-quality experiences and engaging a passionate and loyal community," Nardini said.
Jeremy Tomlinson, group chief executive at England Golf, welcomed the partnership. "We have a shared commitment to community and wellbeing that, together, we will celebrate with golfers through joint initiatives," Tomlinson said.
Partnership targets a national amateur golf audience
England Golf is the governing body for amateur golf in England. It organises major amateur championships, oversees handicapping and Rules of Golf application, and promotes participation initiatives. The body was formed in 2012 through the merger of the English Golf Union and the English Women's Golf Association.
Ambassador operates as a no-fly cruise line from the UK and Europe. Its current fleet includes Ambience, Ambition and Renaissance, following Ambassador Group's 2025 merger with Compagnie Française de Croisières. The line's 2026 programme covers Western Europe, the Mediterranean, Scandinavia and the Caribbean.
To launch the partnership, Ambassador is running a national giveaway for the England Golf community. One winner will receive two general admission tickets to The Open Championship on Saturday, July 18, 2026, two general admission tickets to the AIG Women's Open Championship on Saturday, August 1, 2026, and four tickets to an Ambassador Cruise Line Christmas Party Night in 2026.
