Oceania Plans Three-Ship Northern Europe Season for 2027
Oceania says Insignia, Vista and Marina can pair major cities with smaller calls such as Rosendal, Stornoway, Seydisfjordur and Karlskrona.
Oceania Cruises has released details of a 2027 Northern Europe season that will deploy Insignia, Marina and Vista on 10- to 14-day voyages across Scandinavia, the British Isles, Norway, Iceland and Greenland. The announced departures include Baltic, fjord and North Atlantic itineraries, with calls at smaller ports such as Rosendal, Norway; Stornoway, Scotland; Seydisfjordur, Iceland; and Karlskrona, Sweden.
The three-ship deployment uses three of Oceania’s eight vessels and spans its R-, O- and A-class ships: Insignia carries up to 670 guests, Vista up to 1,200 and Marina up to 1,250. Oceania said the ship size allows the line to combine major Northern European cities with ports that are not always accessible to larger vessels.
Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises, said the voyages are aimed at guests who want to cover more of the region by sea. Sailing aboard Oceania’s ships, he said, allows guests to “reach destinations that can be more challenging to explore independently.”
Routes cover the Baltic, Iceland, Greenland and Norway
In the Baltic, the 11-day Baltic Beauty voyage departs Stockholm on June 10, 2027, aboard Insignia and ends in Copenhagen after calls including Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga, Gdansk, Karlskrona, Szczecin, Berlin via Warnemunde, Kalundborg and Kiel. Vista will operate the 11-day Charms of Northern Europe voyage from Paris to Copenhagen on July 16, 2027, with calls including London via Dover, Bruges, Amsterdam, Kristiansand, Oslo, Aarhus, Kiel and Helsingborg, followed by an overnight stay in Copenhagen.
Vista is also scheduled for the 14-day Fjords to Icelandic Vistas sailing from Stockholm to Reykjavik on Aug. 7, 2027. That itinerary connects Baltic and Scandinavian ports including Visby, Ronne, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Haugesund, Flam, Bergen and Alesund with Icelandic calls at Djupivogur, Husavik and Isafjordur.
Marina will sail the 14-day Castles of Ice & Stone voyage from London to Copenhagen on June 22, 2027, combining British Isles and Norwegian coast calls. The itinerary includes Glasgow, Londonderry, Stornoway, Scrabster, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Lysekil and Gothenburg.
Oceania’s Iceland and Greenland program includes two Reykjavik roundtrips. Insignia will operate the 10-day Landscapes of a Lifetime voyage on July 4, 2027, tracing Iceland’s coast with calls at Heimaey, Djupivogur, Seydisfjordur, Siglufjordur, Akureyri, Isafjordur and Grundarfjordur, plus Torshavn in the Faroe Islands. Marina will follow with the 11-day Fabulous Fjords voyage on Aug. 8, 2027, calling at Heimaey, Grundarfjordur and Isafjordur before scenic cruising in Prince Christian Sound, an overnight stay in Nuuk and a call at Narsaq.
Marina is also scheduled for the 12-day Rugged to Rustic sailing from Reykjavik to London on Aug. 19, 2027. The voyage calls at Isafjordur, Akureyri, Djupivogur, Torshavn, Lerwick, Maloy, Vik, Bergen, Haugesund and Stavanger before concluding at Southampton.
Shore programming emphasizes smaller ports
Oceania named several shore excursion examples tied to the season’s smaller-port focus. In Eidfjord, Norway, guests can visit the Hardanger region for a cider tasting linked to local apple-growing traditions. In Visby, Sweden, the line plans a Culinary Discovery Tour built around farm-to-table visits and a seasonal lunch, while in Seydisfjordur guests can take a 4x4 excursion through eastern Iceland to Brekka.
The line describes the onboard product for the season as adults-only. The announcement did not list starting fares. Bookings for the 2027 Northern Europe sailings are open.
