Hapag-Lloyd Adds Two 21-Day Great Lakes Voyages for 2027

The added sailings replace three shorter cruises and include Tadoussac, where the Saguenay Fjord meets the Saint Lawrence River and guests may see belugas.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has added two 21-day Great Lakes voyages to its 2027 program aboard Hanseatic inspiration, one of the line’s Hanseatic expedition ships, replacing three shorter cruises and bringing the ship’s Great Lakes schedule to four voyages. The new sailings run Milwaukee to Halifax from Aug. 20 to Sept. 10, 2027, and Halifax to Milwaukee from Sept. 10 to Oct. 1, 2027.

The revised deployment gives guests a single itinerary covering all five Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River, which Hapag-Lloyd said it has not previously offered in one Great Lakes program. The line said the change was made in response to strong demand for longer Great Lakes expedition itineraries.

Longer sailings replace shorter cruises

The two added cruises will take the place of three previously scheduled shorter voyages. Hapag-Lloyd did not include an executive quote.

The 21-day routes include Lake Superior, Georgian Bay, Toronto and Niagara Falls, along with Montreal and Quebec on the St. Lawrence. The program also includes Tadoussac, where the Saguenay Fjord meets the St. Lawrence River and where guests may see belugas and humpback whales.

Hapag-Lloyd listed fares from 15,490 per person, based on double occupancy. The announcement did not identify changes to the other two Great Lakes voyages in the 2027 program.
