CroisiEurope Launches Nine November Cruise Escapes

CroisiEurope was founded near Strasbourg in 1976 as Alsace Croisières, and three Rhine itineraries either begin, end or operate round trip from the city.

Strasbourg-based CroisiEurope has launched a November Cruise Escapes collection of nine off-season itineraries on French waterways and the Rhine. The program groups four- to eight-day cruises from Amsterdam, Basel, Strasbourg, Lyon, Nantes, Bordeaux and Paris with collection-only excursions, onboard culinary demonstrations, regional tastings and themed evenings.

The collection ranges from short Strasbourg-Basel sailings to weeklong Lyon-based cruises through Avignon, Arles and other French ports.

“November offers a completely different way to travel,” said Lucas Schmitter, CroisiEurope’s e-commerce, sales and marketing director. The sailings were created to show “the beauty of the off-season,” he said, citing “exclusive excursions, authentic cultural encounters and enriching onboard experiences” beyond the line’s regular departures.

Rhine sailings include Amsterdam-Basel and Strasbourg programs

The Rhine portion includes an eight-day Amsterdam-Basel cruise, also offered in reverse, calling at Cologne, Bonn, Königswinter, Mainz, Strasbourg and Breisach. CroisiEurope is also offering a four-day Strasbourg-Basel route, with Breisach as the listed call, and a five-day Strasbourg round trip calling at Koblenz, the Rhine Valley, Rüdesheim and Mannheim.

CroisiEurope was founded near Strasbourg in 1976 as Alsace Croisières and remains headquartered there. Three Rhine itineraries either begin, end or operate round trip from the city.

Lyon round trips cover three durations

From Lyon, CroisiEurope lists three round-trip cruises. The eight-day itinerary calls at Mâcon, Vienne, Avignon, Arles, Viviers and Tournon; the seven-day version calls at Tain l’Hermitage, Avignon, Arles and Viviers; and the six-day sailing calls at Avignon, Arles, Port-Saint-Louis, Martigues, Viviers and Tain l’Hermitage.

Additional French routes depart Nantes, Bordeaux and Paris

The western France program includes a five-day Nantes round trip calling at Saint-Nazaire and Ancenis, with visits to Château de Langeais and the Abbey of Fontevraud. A separate five-day Bordeaux sailing calls at Cussac-Fort-Médoc and Libourne.

The Paris round trip runs six days and calls at La Roche-Guyon, Rouen, Mantes-la-Jolie and Poissy.

CroisiEurope did not name the vessels assigned to the cruises, publish individual departure dates, disclose starting fares or include capacity details in the announcement.
