Oceania Cruises Opens Bookings for 230-Plus 2028-29 Voyages
Aurelia, formerly Oceania Nautica, is due to debut in late 2027 after an OceaniaNEXT transformation ahead of world cruises from Miami and Los Angeles.
Oceania Cruises opened bookings June 17, 2026, for a combined 2028 and 2029 deployment program covering more than 230 voyages worldwide. The collection includes sailings from seven to 180 days, more than 60 overnight port stays and published programs for both the future Oceania Sonata and the renamed Oceania Aurelia.
The two-season release spans Europe, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Mexico, Asia, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, New England and transoceanic crossings. The Mediterranean accounts for more than 80 itineraries, which Oceania described as its most varied program in the region to date.
Overnights and regional deployment
“Launching sailings for 2028 and 2029 underscores our commitment to giving guests and travel advisors the confidence and time to plan the journeys that truly matter,” said Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises.
The overnight program includes major cities such as Copenhagen, Lisbon, Bangkok and Bali, along with smaller ports including Seville and Male. Oceania is also using late-evening departures across the collection, continuing a deployment pattern built around longer port stays.
Europe forms the broadest part of the program, stretching from Mediterranean and Aegean itineraries to Northern Europe, Norway, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Amsterdam. Oceania Allura is scheduled for a second Mediterranean winter season in 2028 and 2029, sailing Greece, Turkey, Italy and Spain from November through March, while Oceania Aurelia is set for her first Baltic and Scandinavia sailings.
Oceania Riviera returns to Alaska in summer 2028 before shifting to Asia-focused voyages. The ship’s Japan program includes Kagoshima, Ishigaki and Miyazaki alongside Tokyo and Osaka, while Oceania Marina and Oceania Riviera are assigned to broader Asia seasons with overnights in Bangkok and Singapore and calls through Indonesia, including Komodo Island.
Oceania Marina also operates Australia and New Zealand voyages, including 14-day sailings with Milford Sound scenic cruising and calls at Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart and Auckland. In North America, Oceania Vista appears in Canada and New England itineraries including Portland, Saint John, Halifax, Quebec City and Charlottetown, while Oceania Sonata and Oceania Vista handle round-trip Miami Caribbean, Panama Canal and Mexico programs.
Aurelia and Sonata add future-fleet context
Oceania Aurelia, formerly Oceania Nautica, is scheduled to debut in late 2027 after an OceaniaNEXT transformation. The 30,277-gt ship currently carries about 670 guests at double occupancy, with the refit reducing capacity to fewer than 500 guests before the ship’s first 180-day world cruises.
Those Around the World voyages are scheduled to depart Miami in 2028 and Los Angeles in 2029, with both itineraries concluding in New York. Oceania Sonata, the first 86,000-gt Sonata-class ship and a roughly 1,390-guest vessel due in August 2027, is also part of the collection, with Miami-based Caribbean and Panama Canal deployments and a 15-day Canary Isles Autumn Passage from Lisbon to Miami with calls at Madeira, Tenerife and San Juan.
Booking terms
The collection is covered by Oceania’s Best Value Guarantee, allowing booked guests to take advantage of a later offer before departure without administrative fees. Before final payment, reservations can be adjusted; after that, added value may be applied as shipboard credit, a stateroom upgrade or future cruise credit.
Oceania is also packaging the sailings with Your World Included amenities such as specialty dining, WiFi and prepaid shipboard gratuities. The announcement did not include starting fares.
Another Sonata-class ship is scheduled for delivery in 2029, with additional vessels listed for 2032, 2035 and 2037.
